Fresh Regional News welcomes clear, carefully framed pitches about regional geography and the natural patterns that shape landscapes. Contributions should help a general reader understand a subject without relying on specialist access or unsupported claims.

What makes a strong pitch

Propose one focused subject, explain the central idea in a few sentences, and say what a reader will understand by the end. Useful subjects might compare landscape forms, clarify a geographical term, or explain how two natural features relate. Avoid pitches that depend on unverified local claims or offer professional advice.

Writing approach

Use plain language, define necessary terms and explain why a pattern occurs before describing how to observe it. Keep examples relevant and distinguish broad tendencies from conditions that vary from place to place. We value original framing and a clear sense of what the piece adds.

Send a proposal

Send your pitch through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline and any relevant links or source details. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless one has been requested.
